Every week the Breakthrough Tribe hosts a Facebook Live Breakthrough Moments. We have key anointed leaders each week who share insights they’ve gleaned from the Lord in the secret place. I simply love the team that the Lord has assembled: Tammie Southerland from the Frontline FireHouse Prayer & Revival Hub (Clemson, South Carolina); Pastor Jeremy Duggins from Crossroads Vineyard Church in Fredericksburg, Virginia; and Brad and Melba Burk who have ministered together for decades (they’re based in Dallas, Texas). Each week an anointed message from the Father’s heart comes forth.
This past week I delved into a key for each one of us to experience breakthrough in 2017 (and beyond): We must do what we have never done before. At the end of the teaching, I challenged each person to write down three things that they feel the Lord would have them do in 2017 that they have never done before.
It doesn’t have to be monumental. For some, it will be baby steps. But the key is to do it. Step out of the boat of comfort, complacency, and excuses. For some walking on water will simply mean walking across the street to knock on your neighbor’s door with a dozen cookies fresh out of the oven. For some it will be to sign up for a marriage seminar this fall in order to strengthen your relationship with your spouse. Start somewhere. Start small. Build momentum. Small steps will lead to significant kingdom changes that forever alters your life.
The Holy Spirit wants each of us to cultivate a lifestyle of pursuing what we have never done before so that we experience significant kingdom exploits in our lives on a regular basis.
Will you join us on this journey? Your small step in 2017 will become an explosion of kingdom growth and maturity in the years to come.
