God’s timing is perfect. Be strengthened as you learn to wait upon the Lord in the midst of waiting for the appointed times and seasons of fulfillment. Isaiah 40:31 reads, “they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength.”
Many in limbo need to be encouraged as they seek the Lord for direction for this coming season. At times the uncertainty of the future has been overwhelming. The unknowns of tomorrow has felt crippling. The tension of what step to take next in this season has raged internally amidst the challenging circumstances of doing life.
Exhaustion has set in, like an uninvited intruder.
The heartfelt words of a weary David in Psalm 27:1 speak to many in this very moment.
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Right now renew your trust in Him in this very moment as you pour out your heart to Him in the midst of the vexation you feel within. Christ is your peace. Cast your anxieties upon Him. Lay down your need to control what you can’t control. Simply set your gaze upon Christ as you wait upon the Father’s perfect timing for what you have need of in this very moment.
A pastor once shared these wise words for the weary soul: “God doesn’t need more from you, but He does want more of you.”
Surrender afresh more of yourself before Him as you wait upon the Lord.
I want to close with the last verse of Psalm 27. Meanwhile, as you wait upon the Lord, read the entirety of this Psalm as you “bow your heart before the Father” (Ephesians 3:14). Verse 14 reads:
Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Remember the value of trusting the Lord as you wait upon Him is found in the words of Neil T. Anderson: “God can change in a moment what we can’t change in a lifetime.”
