Starting Friday, July 1, I’m calling those in the Austin, Texas region to prepare their hearts to welcome the King of glory!
For 24 days (July 1-24) we will invest 24 minutes daily to seek God. There will be three 8 minute segments each day:
- Read Psalm 24.
- Pray in the Spirit.
- Thank the King for everything.
However you can choose for yourself the order you prefer. Personally I’ve been praying in tongues first which naturally overflows into a time of thanksgiving unto the Lord. I close it with a time of reading aloud the scriptures. Find the right fit for you.
This idea was birthed out of a recent conversation with a young man. He posed the following question, How do I develop discipline and consistency in my life? I told him to take Psalm 27, break it down into three segments: pray in the Spirit for nine minutes; thank God for everything in your life for nine minutes (he was going through a difficult season); and read Psalm 27 for nine minutes. I told him to do it for 27 days, first thing in the morning! It was an idea born of the Spirit of God. To show support for this young man, I decided to do it each morning upon waking up.
Guess what? It lit a fresh fire in my heart. Then last weekend during prayer, the Lord spoke clearly to my heart to do this in collaboration with believers over Psalm 24 in preparation to welcome the King of glory to Austin.
I will write more on the King of glory to encourage those participating. I will send these out on July 8, 16 and 24. The first one on July 8 will contain the backstory of the prophetic word I released on March 15, 2008 concerning the King of glory coming to Austin. Two additional write-ups will follow with prophetic insights for Austin. I will share what I believe the Lord is saying as we seek His face wholeheartedly in this hour.
We also have started a group on Facebook called Welcome the King of Glory to Austin. Join to group to share what the Lord is doing in your heart during these 24 days seeking the face of the King through Psalm 24.
I’ve been waiting a long time for this moment in Austin!
